Geneverse in the Workshop

Although Geneverse products were initially designed to power our customers through any emergency, our products have evolved. A part of that evolution is providing products that help our customers transition to a decentralized source of power they can rely upon.

Many of our customers are using our products for off-the-grid living, cabin retreats, beach days, tailgating, and even in the workshop.

Geneverse: The Perfect Workshop Sidekick

A workshop is a place where some of us go to make progress on projects, which becomes a sort of odd place of sanctuary from daily (and sometimes nightly) chaos.

Geneverse can accompany you during your lengthy visits to the workshop, which for many of us is located in the garage. Perhaps a lucky few of us have a workshop built independently of the home with plenty of working power outlets, but not everyone has this luxury.

Decentralized Reliable and Renewable Power

Many individuals either use the garage, an attic, or even a basement for their workshop area. In many cases, these areas of a home do not have ideal power setups. In such cases, Geneverse is instant source of decentralized power.

Read on for a few tips and best practices that will ensure you get the most out of your Geneverse when handling tasks which require craftsmanship.

Staying Safe in the Workshop Setting

Solar generators do not come with the same dangers that gas-powered generators do. Even big-name brands like Honda, Generac, Pulsar, and Dewalt cannot be used indoors. Gas-powered generators should never be used in workshop-like settings or other enclosed areas.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, gas-powered generators cause around 85 fatalities per calendar year in the United States due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

While Geneverse solar generators do not come with the risk of carbon monoxide exposure, taking a few safety measures will ensure you have the best possible experience and that your Geneverse has the longest life possible.

Keep Out of Reach of Children

It’s a good idea to keep children away from your generator/battery to avoid impact or injury, especially children who are engaged in playful activities that could pose a risk of injury. In cases where children are around the generator, make sure that they are accompanied by an adult.

Safety Protocols in the Workshop

Make sure to wear protective eyewear and keep your Geneverse away from any sort of spark or flame. Keep metal objects like wrenches and hammers away from your Geneverse – impact may cause short-circuiting.

Do not make any modifications to your Geneverse. If you ever have to perform routine maintenance on your Geneverse, make sure to utilize the services of an authorized repair provider. Only use Geneverse accessories and attachments. Products not provided by Geneverse can potentially cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

Keep Away from Extreme Temperatures

Keep your Geneverse away from extreme temperatures and any appliances or devices that generate an excessive amount of heat. Make sure that your Geneverse generator does not sit in direct sunlight, although Geneverse solar panels can obviously be kept in direct sunlight.

What Can I Power and for How Long?

The Geneverse PRO Series can power things like coffee makers and electric cookers for 1-3 days on a single charge when using 2-3 times per day for a half hour to an hour – in case you feel like a pick-me-up before you get started with your workshopping stuff.

Geneverse can power tools like electric drills and electric saws for 2-14 days on a single charge (depending on use). The best way to gauge your use and your needs is to use your Geneverse often and see for yourself how long it can power specific tools and devices on a single charge.

When it’s time to recharge, this can be done in a variety of ways – by car, by AC outlet, or via Geneverse solar panels. The PRO Series features ultra-fast recharging (1-2 hours by AC outlet; 3-4 hours by solar).

Enjoy Your Geneverse!

Geneverse products are made to be used and ready to work. If you find yourself keeping your Geneverse locked away for emergency use only, make sure that you run down a full charge and recharge at least once every three months or so to ensure your generator is working at optimum capacity.

Geneverse products can be used for home improvement projects, ceramics, woodworking, furniture refinishing, and even birdhouse making. Whatever you get done in the workshop, Geneverse can help you get it done in style.
